Baptism Stories  8.23.26

Congratulations, Ella Davis!

Hi, my name is Ella Davis. I am 14 years old. I have attended Worden Cornerstone Church all my life. In the past couple of years, my friends and I have been regularly meeting at a coffee shop to hold Bible studies. These meetings have deepened my faith in the word and in Jesus.

This past summer I had the opportunity to attend church camp. I had a blast and stepped out of my comfort zone by praying and worshiping openly. The Holy Spirit moved me to
accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.

I would like to thank my mom, Kali George, and Wes for challenging me to do this.

Today, I publicly announce that I am ready to be baptized in the name of Jesus.

Congratulations, Kathi Keith!

I want to be baptized because my faith in God has become real and essential in my life.

I went through a life-changing loss when my husband passed away. One moment, I was a caregiver—taking care of him, loving him, being there every day—and then suddenly, everything changed overnight. I went from having that role, that purpose, to feeling like I had nothing. Seeing him alive and then gone so quickly was overwhelming in a way I can hardly put into words.

In that pain and confusion, I realized just how much I needed God. Without my faith, I truly don’t believe I would have been able to keep going. Jesus has been my strength, my comfort, and my reason to keep moving forward when everything felt empty.

Because of that, my faith is no longer just something I believe—it’s something I dependon. Baptism, for me, is a way of surrendering my life to God fully. It represents a new beginning, even after such deep loss. It’s a step of healing, trust, and hope.

I want to be baptized as a public declaration that I believe in Jesus, that I trust Him with my life, and that even through loss, I am choosing faith. I know I’m not walking this path alone, and I want to continue growing in Him and being part of His family.

This is my step forward—holding onto God and choosing life, faith, and purpose again.

Congratulations, Dakota Brinkman!

I’m thankful for everything God has done for me, everything He’s brought me through, and everything He has planned for my future. From this day forward, I want my life toreflect Him.

So I made the decision to put my faith in Him, trust Him with my future, and follow Him.
I’m being baptized today to share that decision with all of you.
